Besan is an ingredient that you will find in most of the homes of the Indian subcontinent - be it for its flavour and versatility (in cooking) - or the fact that it's one of the best face exfoliators out there! For the chefs - it's used to make versions of flatbreads (like chilli), for deep-frying coat base, in curries and most favourite, in desserts (if you haven't already, you need to try our Besan Laddoos!).
The flour can also be used in the place of eggs in vegan cooking, by simply mixing it with equal parts water!
